Installs of the Month
February was an exciting month for car audio enthusiasts, with some truly standout installations showcasing incredible craftsmanship and great products. Let's take a look at some of our favourite installs from the past month!
Porsche 911 – Morel Elate Carbon System by John Kleis
We’re kicking things off with this INSANE Morel Elate Carbon system, expertly installed by the team at John Kleis in a stunning Porsche 911.
No Subwoofer? No Problem!
Due to space constraints, the client opted out of an aftermarket subwoofer. However, the Elate Carbon 9” speakers proved more than capable, dropping impressively low on the frequency spectrum! As a result, the small factory Bose subwoofer was ultimately disconnected since the Elates handled all the low-end with ease.
Products used in this build:
- Elate Carbon 9” – Frequency response: 25Hz - 3000Hz
- Elate Carbon 3.5” – Mid-bass in factory location
- Elate Carbon Tweeters – Hidden behind the factory grille
- Hybrid Integra’s – Rear fill
- Dynamat Xtreme – Ensuring the best possible soundproofing for a high-fidelity experience

Pssound – World-Class Installers at Work
We have to give a huge shoutout to Pssound, one of the finest car audio installation teams - not just in the UK, but worldwide! They have built multiple award-winning vehicles and their attention to detail is simply unmatched.

For this particular installation, PSSound utilised the Morel PowerSlim shallow subwoofer as a front subwoofer. They are well known for incorporating both front and rear subwoofers in their high-end builds, and they have shared several in-depth explanations on the benefits of this approach. Be sure to check out their insights over on the Pssound YouTube channel!

Cambridge Autosound – Wavtech ThinPRO12 in Action
Last but certainly not least, we want to highlight the exceptional work of Nathan at Cambridge Autosound. He recently put the Wavtech ThinPRO12 subwoofer through its paces, crafting a clean, down-firing enclosure for it.

Nathan filmed a video on the subwoofer which can be found below.
To take things a step further, he also took the subwoofer to a car audio meet-up in Brighton, gathering opinions from fellow enthusiasts.
Subwoofer Spec:
- - 12 inch
- - 750W RMS
- - 2 or 4 ohm SVC options
- - 7.6cm mounting depth
Enclosure Requirements: Optimised for a 0.6 cu ft (17L) sealed enclosure but can perform well in as little as 0.4 cu ft (11L)! No other subwoofer on the market delivers this level of performance in such a compact enclosure!
