Radio cages are required for the installation of an aftermarket radio into a vehicle. They are located into the vehicle dash (where the stereo should go) and the tabs on the sides are pushed in to ensure it is securely installed. Once it's in a compatible stereo can plug into the vehicles wiring loom and then 'click' into the cage.
It is important to use a cage that is compatible with the stereo you're installing. This cage is specifically for Kenwood stereos from 1996 onward.
