Manufacturers have found a number of ways to secure radios in vehicles. Some require dash panels to be removed revealing the securing nuts and bolts. Others use a special mechanism that lock the radio in situ as it is pushed into place. This second bunch of radios require the use of a special set of tools known as release keys. They slot into the dash at specific locations releasing the locking mechanism and allowing the radio to pull free of the dashboard.
These keys are designed to work with stereos with standard ISO round slots.
These keys are sold as a bulk quantity and do not come in retail packaging.
