Celsus Adjustable Line Output Converter
Adding an aftermarket amplifier to your vehicle is the first step to a great sounding system, however if the amplifier you are looking to add does not accept speaker level or “high-level” input then you will need a line output converter. This interface converts this speaker level input to an RCA pre-amp level or “low level” signal. Line out converters, also known as LOC’s or high-to-low converters, make it possible for you to run an RCA (phono) cable to your aftermarket amplifier. For optimum performance connect the converter close to the source (stereo). The speaker outputs do not need to be disconnected.
The Celsus LC2A is an affordable solution for two channel applications – speaker wire input and RCA output. The product is adjustable offering independent gain adjustment for both left and right channels for level matching. Use the adjustment to optimise the input signal level to the new amplifier, we recommend “mid gain” which gives a good sound quality and good volume mix.
