What is a DSP and where would I use one? A DSP (digital signal processor) allows you to control crossovers, time alignment and equalisation of all the speakers and subwoofers in your audio system. By controlling all of these parameters it allows you to tune a system to achieve the best possible sound even in challenging vehicles. If you’re integrating into a factory system or want the highest possible control, you need a DSP!
The JL Audio DSP line-up features two products (four models) FiX and TwK.
There are two models of FiX OEM integration processors. These devices feature time correction, automatic level match and they will re-equalise factory audio signals giving you a clean, flat, full-range audio signal. If you’re integrating into a factory headunit, the chances are you need a FiX.
Next up we have two models of TwK digital tuning processors. Once we have a clean, full-range signal, the TwK helps take your system to the next level via the TuN software. 80 bands of equalisation and powerful mixing tools allow you to fine tune your system like never before!
